Angelyna Tatsuko Sasaki struggles with pain in both hands from
an allergic reaction to a wasp sting, but
prevails to win her seventh tournament title. Christyna Seiko Sasaki
plays some solid tennis until being careless in the finals. Ironically,
however, the first time the girls begin Tebowing
What is Tebowing? (vb) to get down on a knee and start praying,
even if everyone else around you is doing something completely different.
, Christyna fights for an incredible comeback. Down 0-5 and
serving at Love-30, she battles for a 7-5 victory in a finals against Ran
Miyaji, the soon-to-be-crowned #1 girl in the nation!

10/12 and Under Tournament
Christyna Seiko Sasaki tortures Ran Miyaji with
a drop shot clinic for a 6-1 victory in the finals. We later learn that the loss
is the first of Ran's young career, ending a 32 match winning
streak where she won her first 10 tournaments! With the win, Christyna
improves her national ranking to #6 in the 10 and Under division!
Angelyna Tatsuko Sasaki sails through to the final, but her
injured elbow doesn't hold up and she loses to Miwa Matsuzawa.
However, the outing also boosts her to a career-best #8 ranking nationally!

10/12 and Under Tournament
Christyna Seiko Sasaki sweeps through another tournament without
losing a single game for her third straight JOP Junior title. With the win, she
breaks into the Top 10 and becomes #1 in Kanagawa when Hikaru Yoshikawa
does not defend points from last year. In a rain-soaked SF,
Angelyna Tatsuko Sasaki struggles with a arm injury, leaving her unable
to challenge Oshima Misato, who goes on to win the 12 & Under
Division.

Christyna Seiko Sasaki storms through her second straight title.
Misuzu Sato rallies to a typhoon-interrupted 7-5 win over
Elan Mizoguchi in the QF before sailing to the 12 & Under title. In the
14 & Unders, Angelyna Tatsuko Sasaki comes up short in the SF
against the eventual winner, Ryoko Shimano.

Christyna Seiko Sasaki plays her best match ever to shock
Mai Kamitori 6-2 in the SF, who herself denied a rematch with
No. 2 seed Nanami Esaki, with a decisive 6-1 victory in the QF.
In the final, she stuns All-Japan #3 Mai Tanaka, who had won
four of the previous six tournaments here, 6-1.

In her final tournament of the season, Christyna Seiko Sasaki
dominates each opponent 6-1 to win her first tournament ever at the age of eight!
With the win, she reaches her goal to gain entry to the JOP National
Championships! Angelyna Tatsuko Sasaki, ending a run of five consecutive
finals appearances, falls in the semi-finals to the eventual winner,
Maki Ishihara.
